I'm looking into adding 2 312 duo receivers to my account but there is no phone line in the rooms will dish charge me 10 dollars for not hving phone line?

The phone line / POTS situation doesn't matter anymore after February 1, 2010. You will only pay for a second receiver. You may be more of a target though for the DISH Audit Nazis.

Did you mean the 322 receiver?

Shakobe,

As of February 1st, Dish will no longer give you credit for connecting a Phoneline. Although if you have additional receivers on your account prior to February 1st, Dish is extending the waiving of $5.00 for your Phone Line connection for each connected receiver for 6 months.

If you have a Duo DVR receiver (722k, 722, 622, 625 or 522) the addition charge per month is $17 for each additional receiver, Duo Receivers additional charge is $14 for each additional receiver, Solo DVR Receivers additional charge is $10 for each additional receiver, and a Solo Receivers additional Charge is $7 for each additional receiver. With the start of this new hardware pricing your first receiver is "FREE".

So adding two additional 322's to your account will increase your billing by $28 per month.

A POTS / landline connection now only helps to avoid an audit. Again, no more phone fees.

Landline OR broadband connection will help prevent the audits, or cancelling Dish Network to not having to deal with the headaches of them anymore.

If you have more than one receiver and don't have a phoneline/ethernet hooked up, the Audit Nazis call you and ask you to give them Location IDs (numbers that change every 10 minutes on the System Info screen) for each receiver. If you take too long, or if they hear you talk to anyone, or if they are in a bad mood, they shut down all but your primary receiver.

Your account is flagged for life. You cannot sell your receivers. You are considered a thief forever by Dish Network.

ok tht should b no problem i should b able to read the system numbrs no prob they r all undr d same roof thx for the insite

Most likely they will not bother you if you have a broadband connection to the receivers (if they have an ethernet port on the back). Someone here will verify what I am saying is correct as a second opinion.
