adding a connection in another room

I plan to add a connection in another room, this will be the 6th tv. I have 2 dual tuners and a stand alone. Dish says they can send me a dvr for $149.00.

Can I get a better deal elsewhere?

does it come with a switch and can I install it my self?

The $149 is a lease for a ViP622. Elsewhere you'll have to buy the unit for ~$450. Switch might be included with lease through Dish'N It Up promotion, but you'll have to call DishNetwork to confirm (be sure to get the ID # of the CSR you speak to). If you buy the receiver, you'll probably also have to buy the switch.

Doubt your going to get a better deal. 622 aren't that cheap.

Where does he say anything about a 622? For $150 they are probably selling him a 508/510.
