I already 5 connections and want to add the 6th one, for Dish. What do I need to do if I want to do it on my own.

If you have DP-34 switch then you can cascade another DP-34 onto it to create another satellite output. Seeing that you already have five outputs suggests that you may already have two DP-34 switches. If that is the case then all you have to do is run the wire(s) to the next receiver from the switch and do a check switch.

In order to tell you exactly what to do we need to know the type of dish (Dish500, Dish1000, SuperDish) receiver (301/311/322/522/625/721/etc) switch if installed (DP-34/DP-44).
