Adding a hd/dvr need 10 tuners now

I want to add another hd/dvr 2line box. However i am out of ports on my multiswitch. If i call directv and they come to my home will they install the box but more importantly upgrade the multiswitch to recieve the ten tuners i need? Is there a fee to get the new switch? IF not do they make a ten tuner output switch i could buy and just hook up myself? thanks

Yes, DIRECTV will make the necessary things happen. What that likely means is that they will split in another WB68.

Or they may cascade two of them, like they did at my house.

You're not supposed to do that but it often works.

i called directv last night. They will put the switch in or as they stated make everything work. However there is a $100 tech fee. I asked if they will just send me the switch and they said no. I am better off just buying it on line and doing it myself. I also see the d22 dvr i need as available at best buy so i can get it today. thanks for the info. Anyone know the difference from the r15 and r22 dvr 's

The R22 is a HR21 with HD disabled. The HR22 is like the HR21 but with a 500 GB hard drive.
