I was curious, i currently have the At200 but want to watch tonight NHL All-Star game so I would have to get the AT250 to get VS. can I add the package to my service and then after the game go back to the AT200? So for fun lets just say I would add it for a day...I would assume it would just get prorated, But I wasnt sure if this is actually possible without penalty.

Yes it can be done. You will be charged a pro rate for the day then you will be charged $5 when you downgrade back to the old package.

Doesn't DirecTv waive the $5 fee if you do it online? Dish Network will not let you do it online though and I do not think talking to a live agent counts as they would probably still charge the $5 downgrade fee.

The only Dish service that does this with no fee is the Dish NOW/YA! service.

You can order any package/movie channel/porn for just one day(it comes to no more than $2 or something. Less on lower priced tiers/movie channels), and then it is gone.

It has nothing to do with your system, but I just thought I would mention it.

Also if you have a high monthly rate or been with them for a long time this fee doesn't get charged. So when you call in later in the evening you usually only pay cents for the day, did it once this month and actually had no charge for upping to at250 for an evening.

One annoying issue is not being able to upgrade to at250 thru the automated system or receiver if you're under the dda package,

This is one thing I really like about E*. I have no problem paying $5-$7 for the ability to add a channel for a day just to watch one game or event.
