Adding DW TV-Req. Superdish

I want to add DW-TV the German channel. Dish says I need to have Superdish installed, which I currently don't. Right now I have two dishes getting the usual 110, 119, and 148 for some locals. I guess they'll swap out one of the dishes for a super?
The reason I'm writing is that I also want to get the HD receiver vip622 that will be coming out in Feb. I'd like to combine the two requests into one, but I'm very nervous that the installer won't get it right. My experience when they came out to install the second dish aimed at 148 was dreadful. It took the installer over 1/2 a day to install the second dish!
Should I place my order for both HD and Superdish in March or order DW-TV now and wait on the HD stuff?

Your DISH500 would be replaced with a SuperDISH. The SuperDISH will receive programming from 110, 119, and 121.

You will need a 121 superdish for locals.

I would order both so they can do it at once and you will not have to take off work for 2 days.

How do you know that? He already said that he has 148 for locals. It doesn't look like he said where he lives so you can't assume he needs a SuperDISH for locals.

order both at the same time, make sure that the CSR knows tha you ahve a 148 for locals and that you will need a DPP44 and 2 DP21 for the HD on 129. When they are done you will have 3 dishs 1 superdish for 121,119,110 Dish 500 for 129 and a dish 500 pointed at 148. The installer will need to run 2 lines to the 622. Hope you get someone who knows what they are doing, and it will take some time for the install.

Well, this confirms my fears! Yikes! Thanks for the info everybody! I guess I'll try to get a good CSR and hang up if I don't!

Could he use a Dish1000 for 129 and 148 since they are only 19 degree's apart, the same distance as 110 to 129?

good idea might work, but getting the installer to test the idea might be aa problem.

Yes, pan-wise that should work (using a pair of DP Duals), but Mike is right - DNSC is not ANY good at thinking outside the box.

One BIG question becomes whether his locals from 148 are actually mirrored on 129. If so, then just swing the 148 dish over.

If people would just add their location to their profile, we would NOT have to ask this question OVER AND OVER.

Whats going to make thise interesting is that I received word today that Dish Network will be phasing out the SuperDISH. More as I know it.
