Adding SWM into an existing setup

The DC pass allows for the power from the Power Inserter to be passed to the LNB or SWM8 unit. You can put the Power Inserter after the splitter if you choose, just use the DC Pass. If you put the Power Inserter before the slitter, DC Pass doesn't matter.

Forgive my lack of understanding but is the power inserter required ?

I am running
1 HD21-with OTA add on
3 H20 (2-100 1- 600)
one H-10-250
one Legacy RCA unit
I need to insert OTA as well

4 wire input from slimline..
Also the 4 inputs reference a particular sat position
Does it matter which of the 4 wire inputs go to each of the inputs on the swm?

What would be the simplest architecture to do this ??

Yes the Power Inserter is required for the SWM to function.

No Power Inserter = No TV

I put my PI at the entry point of the home (basement), then from that I have the coax line feed the splitter which goes to each room.

The Power Inserter is required. The satellite positions shown on the input ports will be selected, but it doesn't matter which of the 4 cables from the dish go to which input of the SWM. Connect the HR21 and H20 receivers to the SWM outputs and the HR10-250 and RCA receiver to the legacy ports of the SWM.
