Advice for signing up.... Northern Virginia

Hi,

I've decided that I'd like to go with Dish. Before I had cable, I had DirecTV and I used their web number to subscribe and the local people they sent were pretty rude. Showed up late, left the front door open and by the time they left I had an army of nats flying around my living room. The equipment and dish never had a problem though after it was installed. Should I sign up via the number on the Dish network's site or should I contact a local dealer. Does anybody have any experience with getting Dish in Northern Virgina?

I had a local dealer install mine and had him mount it on my chimney - like a TV antenna instead of drilling holes in my roof. This was several years ago.

Who has more interest in you a local person you can talk to face to face, or a voice on an 800 number someplace in the world. Definitely go with a local person talk to more than 1 if you have more than 1 local dealer.
