Aiming Dish

I'm going camping with my new RV next week and have some questions about aiming my dish. I bought the Dish 500 Twin and 3 FT Tripod from Sadoun Satellite Sales. I also got the SF95 satellite finder kit. I will be connecting to a DVR 510 reciever. After reading other forums, I'm confused as what to do. Do I just get it aimed properly, and I'm good to go? Another website say's that a check switch option has to be done for the reviever to recognize the new set up, and it can be really difficult to do.

make sure your tripod leveled enter zip code in to receiver by going MENU 6 SYSTEM SET UP, 1 INSTALATION, 1 DISH POINT ( to get your elevation, skew, and azimuth for the dish) after you done aiming do check swith it should say 119 all 110 all or 119 odd 119 even, 110 odd 110 even

As volkodav states... and you will be good to go, leveling is absolutly important!

And a bullseye level is really the only way to go. I have tried it with a conventional level and it was really hit and miss.

The other website is crazy, it takes a few button pushes on the remote to run the check switch.

And if your portable set up happens to be exactly the same as your home set up then a check switch is not needed at all.
