1000.2 for eastern arc is diffrent than for western arc, You need a western arc LNB INSTALLED on your easten 1000,2 Antenna.then tune to 110/119. Your EA LNBF AND WESTERN LNB look diffrent. 1000.4 end of life it is used for 61.5/72 and 77 The problem is lot of people cant hit western arc because of trees etc. You can get a two 300 dish 18 antenna and install a DPP LNB and hit 110 and 119 and use a switch you will get very good signal.
Actually, DPP technology is dead for WA. 500 kits with DPH LNB's will work for Hoppers, Wallys and VIP's now

So there has to be some kind of a model # difference between an LNBF for a 1000.2 on EA and one for WA...How were they differentiated for purchase from distributor? What do you look for on eBay?
smh

Years down the road
Looks like Charlie Ergen will never give up satellite TV. The reason Echostar 25 the most poweful DBS satellite ever built at 110 location already. Also Echostar 26 another super satellite on order for 119 orbital location will be ready in 15 months. he will have 110/119 for another 20 years. Dish will be the only satellte company left. The reason for rural areas and some people like satellite easy to operate and change channels in seconds.

So the WA Triple won't suffice for the latest hopper tech?

I know there was a triple used on EA, that was different from the WA triple

It will, IF you use this hybrid LNBF, which ONLY fits on the 1000.2 dishes, & has been the only WA dish/LNBF they were using until they killed 129:

But again...there is NO point whatsoever to be using any of the old triple sat dishes, when the new D500 dish/hybrid LNBF, is ALL you need, for ANY install now. And to repeat ad nausea, if a sub needs any type of service work on their system (upgrade receivers/replace defective dish/LNBF, move from EA to WA, etc.) they are going to replace the entire dish with the new D500 hybrid dish/LNBF - period!

I wouldn't say "NO" reason.

We have a number of the 1000.2 dishes and DPP triple LNBs (WA) still in stock, as a small retailer, we don't go through them real fast. We are keeping them to use for Wally installs and/or service calls with bad DPP triple lnbs. We paid for that equipment and will use it where it works until it is gone.

Are Dish installers allowed to do rooftop/chimney upgrades now?

I hope these new "most powerful" satellites will mean that DISH can provide every channel that can be sourced in HD in HD. I do not like the fact that two of my favorite channels (Start and H&I) are SD. I was also very disappointed after installation that METV has to be streamed from my internet connection. Finally, I dropped the locals upon seeing that my local CW channel is in blurry letterboxed SD when it has been HD OTA for years.

I'm curious how the EA rooftop and chimney mount installs will be upgraded to the WA 500 dish installs. I expect some will be converted to pole or eave mounts, while others will still need the rooftop or chimney mount for WA LOS.
Either the Dish gets relocated, or if there's LOS and the tech is more concerned with getting the job done than following the rules, and the roof is walkable, he'll just change it to WA

Unfortunately while realistically it probably won't be EVERY ch, if E* ends up getting those last 3 x-ponders@110 in Feb 2027, they could actually do wonders with having that much more capacity, since they stopped with SD dupes of HD channels, & no longer offer RSN's:

This piece gets me - the fact that Dish has removed SD channels from satellite completely in the name of "HD upgrades". I pay for satellite TV, not streaming...I don't see why they couldn't leave the SD version of the channels on Satellite then put the HD streaming version like they have for other channels.

Its crazy how the ViP922 is so rare for no reason.
