All recordings lost -- any hope?

Hello, I lost all my recordings on my 922 today except two old ones. Everything else (like 60 things) are gone. Called Dish and they are sending me a new box, but that doesn't help get back all my law and orders and criminal minds. Is there any way to retrieve these? And why did this happen? Thanks for any help.

Sorry, but once they're gone, there's no way to recover them (you can always back up recordings to an EHD if you have one). Unfortunately I don't know exactly what happened that caused the failure, but the replacement shouldn't have any problems.

External Hard Drive can be purchased locally at most stores with electronic departments, just make sure it has its own power supply. I suggest a western digital.

you can also do a search here on ehd and find lots of info from other 922 ehd users.
