How does the Amazon Prime Video app on the Hooper 3 compare to the app on your favorite streaming box, TV, dongle… ???

Hooper 3 vs Apple TV (HD) at 1080p

Hopper 3 — Pros:
* Uses same remote for Amazon Prime streaming and satellite
* Begins playing faster
* Allows skipping “Previously on…” & “Intro” with a single click
* “Seems” to have a larger buffer (maybe it buffers to the HDD?)

Hopper 3 — Cons
* Minimalist UI doesn’t use the same keys as satellite
(app uses mainly select, up, down, left, right, back & # keys)
* No easy way to skip forward or back 10 or 30 secs
* Cumbersome CC settings that aren’t saved between sessions

I use the Amazon 4K Firestick and am very pleased with it.

Fast, good picture and with GUI well organized. The latest generation of Firesticks come with a voice remote control that has added a power and volume up/down buttons. I had one TV by a Chinese company (LeEco) that made a huge splash when they entered the US market and then, just as suddenly, went bankrupt. I was shocked (pleasantly) when the Firestick remote had the IR signals for it! None of the Dish remotes (nor even my Harmony in it's 'learning' mode) could do it.

So....highly recommended.

I keep getting the dreaded Internet Connectivity Problem screen on 301 first in English and rotating through other languages and the screen freezes up. the only way out of this screen is to power off the unit and then restart it! When I try the app I get the same results!

Much easier to just use my Apple TV since it works perfect.
