Hello Everyone,
I am in central texas, trying to pick up the NASA Feed.. the AMC6 feed is just too poor (Signal of 40-50 MAX) causing nothing but breakups. I can see AMC7 just fine getting the Anchorage Mux.. Should I be able to pick up the NASA channel here in C-TX from AMC-7 or is the transponder aimed away from the Continental US towards AK/HI ?

very odd that the OP is having issues on AMC6

I use that instead of AMC7 here in MN....cant get it on 137W worth bunk but can get the Alaska stuff just fine. 72W (AMC6) I get at a 60 quality on the Pansat 1500

Even got it fine on a 4 foot dish with conical ring

Thanks Iceberg. I appreciate not having to go and look up the orbital positions. Unfortunately I can't yet be much help in a C-band discussion.

I am getting SOMETHING Alaska.. Not too sure what, one shows Jewerly TV, the other shows an Alaska Message Board with advertisings, then the other is 360 North, another channel has vertical color bars. I am pretty sure that sat is the same bird as NASA. The settings I am plugging in for NASA are:
TP: 18 V
FR: 4060
LB: 1090
SY: 26.665
Trying on 2 different receivers with no success on NASA.

Not too sure why my signal on AMC6 is so weak. on the clearest day the signal can range from 40-45, but some other days every once in a while will hit 55-60, on VERY rare occasions.

I have a tree in the way and getting some signals from 137W, 4060V26665 is about 30%Q and breaking up pretty bad. I usually watch this bird for the Alaska and NASA feeds in the winter when the tree is less of a blockage. Likely a usable signal from the Alaska mux but it appears to be scrambled now. 72W is good here all the time both C and Ku bands. Hope it works for you tomorrow for the launch!

correct. The Alaska Mux which has now 3 channels in the clear is on the same satellite as NASA
(the 3 channels are 360North, GCI Channel 1 which has JTV at night and one that just has color bars right now)

So the good news is I'm on the right bird, my signal is 65 with a quality of 75, much better than AMC6 - but still no NASA. I'm just outright confused then, lol.

I give up on it I guess.. lol.. Ahhh.. You'd think since we're paying for it, our government would put it on a stronger sat.
