Looks like another dispute. WSAZ Channel 3 NBC in the Huntington/Charleston WV market is scrolling across the screen that Intermountain Cable will no longer be on starting Jan.1 2009 and to Contact their hotline at 1-877-224-0963 or Dish Network at 1-888-825-2557 or Directv at 1-888-777-2454.

My guess is when contract negotiations begin with Dish / Direct with this channel again that there could be a dispute with them as well. We already had contract dispute with Channel 8/11 with Dish Network a while back. All the network stations in the Charleston market except for 8/11 which are owned by Sinclair are having the dispute so this does not look good.

On intermountain's website it also states:'

WKPT, WCYB & WJHL Possible Programming Issue for 2009

But they don't pull channels because of it.

Really? They are pulling a channel in Norfolk for apparently no good reason.

This just proves it isn't just Dish that has the problem. Lots of LiL's are going after retrans agreements for more revenue with local advertising falling way off.

Looking at the WSKY web site it doesn't look like it's about money, wsky09.05

They say they aren't charging Directv for retransmission right so maybe there's some other issue, maybe technical, that's causing them to drop it. At least they've giving customers more then a few hours notice that the station wil be dropped.

Everyone is having disputes these days. I heard Charter cable is having a dispute with WWL in New Orleans.

DirecTV is not immune to disputes either.

These disputes are probably a good thing for everyone in the end. You have to look at it as these guys are protecting the consumer's best interest and pocketbooks (or at least pretend). If all the sat guys caved to these obsurd retrans price increases, we'd all have to pay more every month because all these increases get passed on to us.

Where can I buy a new or good used 622?

CBS from a few counties away??
