Another Stupid Newbie question

Why is it that my "channels I get" list is almost the same as the "all Channels" list (over 500 channels)? Shouldn't it actually be channels I get with my package (plus HD)?

Also,is there a way to get channels just not show as available at all, so I can't even tune them directly? You can do this with OTA's, but not with ones from the satellite, from what I can tell...

I've done that... just curious what the purpose of "channels I get" is if it's not actually the channels I get.

Channels I get doesn't work. THere is a glitch in the system somewhere that is supposed to be fixed sometime after the end of time.

Never have quite understood why it seems so hard to fix.. E* has one that works and works really well.. So it can't be that hard..
