Digging thru my TV extras cabinet I found a new Dish 3.0 remote, still in cellophane although the cellophane had split. Any use for it or should I just toss it in the garbage?

I found a couple of 1.5 remotes last year when I was going through my old junk. I use them with my Hopper Duo and Wally. I find the old remotes useful because they have a Sys Info button that takes me directly to the Diagnostics screen. If a remote as old as a 1.5 still works, I would guess that the 3.0 would also still work.
If nothing else it should work as a universal remote to operate your TV or VCR/DVD.
You can give it to your wife to throw at your head when she thinks you’re doing something wrong. That’s what my wife does.
