Anyone else in Wash DC with OTA and Dish 622 or 722? (WHUT-DT)

I have chronic problems with the behavior of my 622 and 722 when displaying or playing back WHUT-DT (RF 33, PSIP 32). Does anyone else in the Wash DC area experience these OTA symptoms with that station?:

Dish 622: Shows live WHUT-DT just fine. But when played back in DVR mode, the picture and audio breaks up every few seconds. Also, the trick controls are completely unuseable - e.g., the FWD button will skip 5-10 minutes, and the REV button may back up the same! Here is a YouTube clip of what happens in pure playback on my 622: WHUT-DT Dish DVR Playback error

Dish 722: Live WHUT-DT consists of freeze frame stills which change about every 2-4 seconds, but audio is fine. In DVR playback, all bets are off on what it will do.

I have other ATSC tuners which seem to work fine (live TV). Does WHUT-DT have some bizarre PSIP parameters that Dish's DVRs cannot process correctly? Advice?

I have mostly watched WETA, but I also receieve WHUT OTA with a 722 and two 612s. Have to check it when I get home. Are there any times of day or programs I should look out for? What version of the firmware do you have? (I'm still on L672 as of last night.)

I have to say that your 622 problems sounds like your disk is about to fail. WHUT is IIRC still broadcasting in 1920X1080i with "only" one SD subchannel. So the bandwidth required to record or do trick play will be the greatest, and this stresses the 622's internal disk the most.

My 622 is on L633 firmware, and I have absolutely zero other problems with it (unlike my 722 of late). This problem with WHUT is not new, either, btw, so I don't think the HDD has anything to do with it. The problems with WHUT (32-01) occur any time, with any programming. The symptoms on the 622 are again: (1) does fine when watching live, (2) skips and breaks up when watching DVR playback, and trick controls can move several minutes per press.

One theory I have is that WHUT's PSIP and/or encoder settings are somehow non-standard. I recall reading somewhere that WHUT broadcasts a unique data stream meant for firmware updates on certain receiver hardware out there (not Dish, of course).

Yes, you are right. Freeze frame on 32-1 on my 722, fine on my 612. Bizarre. I'll see if I can capture something interesting with my PC ATSC tuner.

Edited to add I see nothing wrong with the stream as captured by my PC tuner. Here's the output of MediaInfo:

Yes my 612 was fine for live viewing of WHUT, as was my PC tuner which I did use to record WHUT for a couple of minutes. Our MBR 612 is used extensively to record satellite and OTA shows all the time, and that function is fine as well with no skipping. I did not try to record anything from WHUT on the 612, however.
