My cal amp lnb just gave out after wandering for a while. It's a starchoice california amplifier 150284. Just wondering if anybody knows where to get one cheap because before it gave out it was working really well and I would like to have the proper lnb to match the dish.
Thanks

Not Cal Amp, but would match dish. Don't know how good they are, never tried one.

I read somewhere that you can take the plastic piece out of a circular lnb and make it linear.I have a lot of these (bit of a pack-rat....can't pass by a discarded sat dish) and they fit the lnb holder perfectly. Going to have to try one of these the next chance I get.

If you have a circular DBS or DSS LNBF for Dish Network, DirecTV, Bell, the LO frequency is typically 11250 and cover 12200 - 12750MHz downlink frequency range. If you want to convert this type of LNBF for receiving free to air linear FSS frequencies, the tuning slugs must be adjusted so the LNBF LO is 10750 and receive the 11700 - 12200MHz range.
