Finally got my order placed on ATT's web site and I received an email confirmation.

I have placed my order on the ATT website and got a confirmation number from them. I did not get an E-Mail. Did my order go through?

Also Apple has a new app out for the Iphone that will allow you to pre-order the Iphone 4. You can also order the IPAD or the new Mac Mini---anything apple makes.

I'vd been trying all day to order. Apple Store seems to be working slow, but it breaks when going to the AT&T site. Then I get taken to a page where I can reserve an iPhone for pickup. I tried going direct to AT&T site and it says it's down. So, again it seems to be an AT&T problem.

As for the cost. I'm getting the 16gb iPhone. It's going to cost me $30.00 + $18.00 activation fee + sales tax on $199.00. I've already sold my iPhone 3gs. And just have to pay the difference.

Also, I've read where Radio Shack will sale the iPhone 4 and give you $200.00 for you iPhone 3gs.

I think my issue is I have a business plan as my wife gets 15% off our bill each month for being a Boston Market Employee.

When I try going to the AT&T site it does not show me any iPhones to choose from. And says "BOSTON MARKET EMPLOYEE" across the top.

Still no luck yet, but for the second time I have gotten to the screen telling me that I quality for the iPhone 4 at $299. :)

What's the app called?

Cool. Thanks. Not sure if this is related to the pre-order issues, but my App store icon shows I have 4 updates, but when I go to the updates section in the app, it says all are up to date.

As a retired USAF member I get a discount plan also and it has the plan at the top when I log in. I was able to get it ordered today, but there was an issue when I first started.

Business account here and just got the upgrade. The only problem is earlier I got timed out at confirm purchase and I assumed order did not go through. Now I just got 2 different order confirmations. Meaning it let me upgrade twice on the same line. This should be fun trying to get corrected.

I tried Apple & ATT online throughout the day today. Finally just stopped by the ATT store on the way home from work. Their systems were down but they were writing paper orders to enter when they are back online.

So I guess I'm good to go. And I can't wait!! :)

Pre-Orders via AT&T are now sold out as of this afternoon. Any orders will be shipped Jun 25-July 5th

AT&T iPhone 4 Pre-Orders Have Sold Out

When I was placing the orders at the store for our upgrades they got the email confirming the delay as well. No idea if we actually made the cut-off or missed it by 5 minutes.

Yet another cluster##$k in the AT&T saga

Would'nt order and Iphone if you paid me. There is no really big difference between 3GS to 4. Multitasking is still a huge joke(Apple still limiting what can and apps need to be rewritten). Do yourself a favor and get a Android Device.
Some people like the spoon as opposed to a fork and knife also!:D:up Anyway doing my homework for my niece. I don't know why young girls love these phones so much.

Why do the droid dummies always try to hijack the iphone and ipad threads?

Was able to reserve one today in person at the apple store for pick-up.
(Park City Mall Lancaster, Pa)

One can argue Iphone users are the dummies. I don't have anything against Apple. I like my Itouch and wouldn't mind a Ipad if there were cheaper.

I just don't see why the rush to get a phone that is not a big difference from the current. I think Apple Fanboy's has drank a lot of the cool aid and are fooled by the Multi-tasking, supposed display and camera.

Check out CNET and how Android devices are taking out the iPhone now.

Keep in mind that the above comparison was posted before the phone was announced and the specs were published! ;)
It doesn't mention things like HD video recording, 3-axis gyro, FaceTime video-calling, 960x640 screen resolution, 802.11n, etc.
Still not worth paying $300 to upgrade, IMO.

To each his own I guess.

In general, I think the 2-year upgrade cycle makes a lot of sense for most people. If your phone is just a year old, skip this one and wait for the next year's model: there is always something better around the corner! But if your current phone is 2 or 3 years old (like mine ;)) then this iPhone 4 is a good choice as an upgrade.
