Anyone planning to buy the iphone 17?

Every year I say I'm not doing the upgrade, then I do the upgrade. I am annoyed the 8X "optical" zoom is really just a crop of the 4x, that was an appealing feature. The 18 mp front camera does have appeal though.

A day and a half to decide. And convince the wife if I decide.

Zero need for Apple Watch 11. Ten is perfectly fine.

If I go add something to the cart under my military discount it does show the Apple Card as a payment option with the 3% off but not 100% sure since I didn't complete the purchase to verify if you actually get both discounts.

Edit to add: If add the Airpods Pro 3 to my cart for $224 (10% off) when I go to check out I see this for the 3% discount using the Apple Card.

I had the Bag phone and switched to one of these when they came out. Allowed me to operate my business when I was traveling.

Watching "Office Hours" Q&A (officehours.global) and one of the panelists had the idea of using two iPhone 17P with Genlock docks with the lenses set to the interocular distance (one phone flipped) which would allows the use of the same 48 MP sensor for both eyes. Obviously you would need a cage that allow mounting both iPhones plus the two docks and power. Definitely not a casual "let's pack the Pelican for the cruise" and using as a tourist camera.

Not sure I understand the purpose of that.

I just checked mine and the iphone 17P just says full payment with the discount, no Apple card credit option. Just trade-in. I check again on Friday as there is no pickup or delivery option either.

I just checked and I did get the Apple credit card 3% discount on the airpods 3 that you did so maybe they don't want to give the Veteran + 3% ACC discounts on certain items. I also checked the Apple watch Ultra3 and no Apple Credit card option on that either.

But, BlackMagic Designs has a Spatial Immersive 3D camera which would be easier to deal with. But it's $33K, a lot more than two iPhone 17 Pro and the addition hardware needed to put them together for shooting coordinated Spatial 3D.

I'm familiar with the company. They do make quality broadcast equipment. But for hobby 3D video, it is not necessary. BTW- flat screen 3D video is not the same thing as VR180 or VR360. Flat screen 3D standard is 1080P. Many new 3D VR cameras are recording at 6-12K.

FYI-
As you are new to Apple Card- they work the credit line through Goldman Sachs. GS wants out of the contract as they are losing money on the Apple deal. Apple might be getting ready to find a new CC bank, maybe different terms. I also get 3% cash back using the Apple card at Walgreens for our prescriptions and other purchases. Use it while it lasts.

I don't think they give a full 10% veteran discount on all items. If I remember right, it's only 6-7% on iPhones but 10% on watches. Working off of memory, so could be wrong.
