AT&T completes DIRECTV spinoff.

Those are actually pretty good prices, both Charter and Comcast are about $30 more for their top speed and the upload is slower then what you listed.

Plus no data caps which Comcast charges extra for.

Well my comparison base is AT&T which is all symmetric plans. 300/300, 600/600, 1000/1000 and they're talking about offering 2500 and 5000 plans. My AT&T gateway has a 5gbps port.

I've said this before. I think fiber should be deployed nationwide in the same manor that POTS was deployed. Every household should have reasonably priced access to this the way every household had access to a reasonably priced POTS dial tone.
