Attaching the DISH 500+ to DISH 1000.4 Conversion Kit

1. Is it safe to assume that the "plus" dish, and the 1000.4 are one and the same?
2. I currently have a 500+ setup, and the attachment implies that I can just switch out the LNB & LNB arm from the 1000.4.
3. Can someone confirm this, or even shoot it down?

Any installers in the house that can answer that question? If not, I guess I'll find out when I journey up to the roof.

It would appear the reflectors are almost the same, the major difference being the LNB and LNB arm. Going by the PDF, it's just simply a matter of repointing the dish and swapping out arms/LNBs; no, I've never heard of this being done...but it does seem rather do-able.

I think Dish is particularly obsessed with the midwest region, watch, the first spot beam in the west to go MPEG4 will be the lake tahoe one XD

SF Bay's spot beam will go MPEG4 in like.. 2022 or whenever.
