In a somewhat shocking display of support for graphics giant NVIDIA, the guys over at Valve have offered free goodies for those running NVIDIA graphics cards, including Portal: The First Slice, a special version of the game we all love. Included in this pack is Half Life 2: Deathmatch, Peggle Extreme (for those who didn't get Orange Box) and Valve's own tech demo attempt, Half Life 2: Lost Coast. All of this, for free.
Excited? Got your Portal Gun ready? All you need to do is visit this website, download the auto-detection software, and you should be downloading in no time!
Portal: First Slice is free for all NVIDIA Gamers

Enjoy everyone.

That is called STEAM, you have to make a STEAM Account in order to play any Valve games.

Steam is like Xbox Live/PSN for your PC. A community for all of your Steam games, it became fairly popular a few years ago and some use it as an alternate form of distribution for their games.

I can verify that its DEMO of Peggle Extreme and Portal th First Slice is also a demo...
and seeing Steam seemed to slow my system down once i had it on (I think it does P2P file sharing), I uninstalled it as fast i found all that out.

I have Steam and play DOD source and CS. It's good product. I only run it when I am playing games online.
