what does it mean on 015 screen when it says default on sattelite? i have no signal and no switch is detected.

Tell us what type of system you have, receiver, switches lnb's etc.

Just off the top of my head, could be a bad tuner, bad switch or bad lnb. Need more info.

What trouble shooting have you done?

i have a dish 500, 301 reciever and legacy twin lnbf and i tried another reciever and it doesnt get a signal either.the signal had been going away during the heat of the day before it went away completly.

i went outside yesterday and hooked straight to the dish,to reciever,then tv and still no signal.

based on what you said, most likely a bad LNB with the heat problem.
