I am upgrading from a RCA tivo I had an 30in dish with original single lnb. I bought an HR21, on that dish now and get 90s on most transponders but all I get is 101 sat.

I got an slimline dish with an AU9 lnb. I used an Accutrac III to point it and get 50s on the sat meter for all five sats. But the HR21 shows no signal on any sat.

Questions:
My lnb has 4 outputs. Should my old RCA tivo be able to get a signal from the new lnb?

Do I have run all four outputs to some switch and then to the IRDs?

Is there something I have to do to HR 21 besides doing the dish setup?

If the cable works with the old setup will it work with the new lnb/dish?

Is it a bad LNB?

I ordered a SL3 SWM lnb for the new dish. Do I need an ASL-1 to point that?

Any help would be great?

If you get only 50 on sat meter, that mean you are not lock on any satellite, if you can, use your receiver and a small tv to check the signal while you adjust the signal.

To the OP...mid 50's are fine on the Acutrac III. Something to keep in mind, are you sure you're hitting the right birds? I typically will use the Acutrac, but will also verify that I have the 101 with my Birdog.

Another thought....are you using the BBC's on both inputs to your HR21?

I only ran one line from the LNB to the receiver with a BBC. Do both turners need service?
