Is it possible to copy audio tracks from dvr recordings to a laptop so they can be burned to a cd? Thanks in advance for any info or advice.

Welcome.

The old fashioned, real-time playback/record method using RCA audio outputs. You would need a USB sound card with Line In.

or with TOSLINK (fiber optical) I bought two 50 foot cables years ago for 20 bucks each.. the number of times and places I've been able to use them for DD / optical connections over the years.. :) 40 bucks well spent.. :)
