I've been wondering if I could receive any FTA satellites at my new location before going to the trouble of installing dishes. So I searched for and downloaded from the Play Store some free augmented reality satellite finding apps to my Android smartphone. This technology is wonderful and those wanting to know where the satellites are located can benefit by using this technology. It even allows you take photos of the sky so you can later study exactly where the satellites are located. You can "see" 22,000 miles up into the sky!
I now know that I can install a motorized dish to receive some of the arc. But I will need to move to different locations on my property probably installing fixed dishes to receive other satellites. But I see that even the 180E satellite broadcasting Tahiti Nui TV may be receivable. I can hear the Tahitian music already!
Excuse the fuzzy image below for 180E, but this is the only photo I took of that particular satellite.
