Autopay question

I signed up for autopay to get the extra $5 savings with the renewal deal and had a question for you ap vets.

The bill is due today (1/20/17) and the my account screen on mydish says it will autopay today (no option to change the payment date that I see) but nothing has happened yet (almost 2 PM CST). Do I need to do something? I do not want a late bill (or late fees) because it failed to work.

I have autopay too. I looked at my most recent statement in MyDish. It says the due date was 1/17, it says payment was received 1/18, and I see it cleared my bank on 1/19.

Never had a late fee.

Did you setup Autopay with eChek or debit card?

It is direct from our bank account.

That will usually take up to a week to post to your bank.

I have Auto Pay on my bank account, it take two days unless it falls on the weekend. It has never taken a week.

Every bank is different, that's why I said up to. I'd say average is 3 days.

Yes, my smaller local bank usually takes three days and times four to post a payment I made online. BOA usually posts it in no more than two days.
