AzBox Canada is proud to release firmware version 1.20 for the AzBox miniMe American edition. It includes the following enhancements:

  • Upgraded DVB interface drivers for improved performance and stability. Due to the improved initialization of the new drivers, the audio chime is now only played once when the receiver first boots.

  • Reduced delay when resuming from audio player and radio mode. However, there is still a delay when existing the video player which will be fixed in a future firmware update.

This new firmware version is available for download from the support section of our website for upgrading via USB or directly from your Internet connected receiver using the Internet software update feature.

For the next firmware update, will will work on adding increased performance and functionality for Blindscan. As well, we are testing to see if Dolby "E" audio support can be added. We also have other features planned as well that will be revealed over time right here on SatelliteGuys.US!

Thanks for the update. The change from Radio to TV is now good, faster speed. Don't seem to have this annoying 'channel not available' so far...
Testing radio mode now for break up of sound after about 2 hours of listening. I hope the new drivers have fixed this one.

Edit. Sound starting to jump again, so this looks like it's not fixed!

Please note that the new DVB driver in this firmware version mostly corrected video breaking up in high bit-rate feeds if not properly initialized. This is not the same issue as radio mode sometimes breaking up after about 2 hours of listening which is probably caused by the MRUA multimedia drivers which are different than the DVB driver. We will soon be getting updated multimedia drivers from Sigma which should hopefully resolve this issue.

Testing new version To me, audio has a split second hiccup.

Last version 117 audio breakup and loss occurred on Cozi tv as well. Had to channel up/down to get audio back

Still haven't got 22khz switch to work. Will dial in two sats next week and compare with other receivers to make sure.

For those of you who have these occasional audio issues, please try changing the A/V sync setting in Settings -> Audio to see if it helps.
