As many of you might have seen my big c band wish was knocked out of commission by 50+ MPH winds as it bent the elevation screw.

Brian from SatelliteAV was kind enough to send me the part I needed to fix my dish and today I FINALLY had some time for myself and swapped out the broken part with the new part.

Total time to replace it was less then 10 minutes.

I am happy to report that I am back in business with some very good quality signals across the arc. :) Feels good to have my dish back again! :)

Thank you to Brian and the folks from SatelliteAV for getting this SatelliteGuy back in business! :)

you're not done yet, scott! ;)

You should try to figure out some kind of mod so the issue won't happen again because you know it'll happen again at some point. I.E., if you can build an extra stiffening bracket (replaceable so you can remove it when you do your annual repeakings), it should make it beefier to windloading stresses,

I can't get a peep of a signal from that one... Everything else on that bird is above 70....

Oddly enough my weakest channel on that satellite is "THIS" that most people report as being their strongest. However, every other channel including the very hard to get second RTN mux is received with a high signal strength above 70%. Go figure!
