Coming back to Directv, which do I need the 3lnb or the 5lnb? I live in area code 37148. I would like to get the Hope channel which I think is on 119, but that could be a sight problem. I have tired to locate set up settings for my area code for the 5lnb slimline but have not been able to locate. I think the 3lnb would be 204-206 at 43-45 which would not be a problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you need the Hope channel and it IS on the 119, you WILL need the 5 lnb set up.

Most are able to use the 3 lnb set up now, however if you need a channel that is on the 110 or 119 you'll want to go with the 5 lnb set up.

I think that several SonicTap channels still reside on 119 as well unless that's changed recently.

Channel 368 Hope is on 119 only. It is not mirrored on 99/103 and is not on the main 101 sat. If you want this and HD service you will need a 5lnb slimline.

If you don't have HD a 3lnb older multisat will be fine.

Those same dishes will get your locals from Nashville SD or HD (HD being Slimline-5).

Sorry, I should have said so, I do mean the new 3lnb or 5lnb, about 3 years ago I did have the original 5lnb slimline dish, what a pain it was.
