I typically have about 55 hours run time on my Apple Watch 4. But I pushed it this week and just forgot to put on charge since Sunday morning. So last night about midnight I went to just look at the time and it was dark. Put it on charge and the time came up with a red flashing lightning bolt and the time. Kept it on charge for about 30 minutes and the face was flashing with this red lightning bolt. It was also very warm. Had to do a reset with holding both buttons down for 15 seconds then the Apple symbol came up. After 10 minutes the AW4 was back to normal. The charge on it after the reset showed about 5%. Left it on the charger until this morning. All back to normal again. Did not lose any of my setups.

If I run my workout tracker for an hour, I only get about 40 hours. If not, I get about 55 hours. My older watch 3 was 72 hours.

I bought the AW4 about 6 weeks ago. I wear mine 12-14 hours per day and have never been below 50% at the end of the day. That’s with anywhere between 4-8 workouts sessions per day. Not all workouts use gps. I’m very happy with the battery life. I will charge mine nightly and never saw it an issue charging it daily.

Between charges and when not in the shower, I'm wearing mine. Does the battery use the same or less when you are not wearing it? Never looked at it like that. I sleep with it on except when I am charging it. Workouts are not my hobby so I exercise as a requirement of my health. that's one session a day if I am not doing other physical activity. I think 4-8 sessions a day is no longer a hobby, it is a mental illness if not an occupation. :D

I realize mine is at 67% right now. At 10pm. I wear it all day and when I go to bed just put it on the charger. I could probably go close to 2 days, but not worth the hassle of worrying about it.

Do you worry about running out of gas when your tank is 2/3 full? I put mine on charge every second night now. It's usually 10%. 55-60 hours. I don't bother turning on the workout app which would reduce my time to 42 hours.

There seems to be a number of AW4 updates that are radically changing the battery time on the 4. Since the new EKG feature was added my battery decreased to about 40 hours. But the latest update has it back to what it was before.
