BenQ, a leading manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices, today announced that its new 19-inch FP93V LCD monitor has been selected for the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show Technology is a Girl's Best Friend (TechGirl) Diamond Product Showcase in the Computer category. The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA(R)), producer of the world's largest annual technology tradeshow -- the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES(R)), announced the selected manufacturers and their products on Dec. 1, 2005.
Sponsored by CE Lifestyles, the showcase highlights products with "features that women recognized as most important in their electronics." In its fourth year, the TechGirl honorees were chosen based on results from a recently conducted survey by CEA Market Research. The survey, What Women Want, sampled more than 1,600 adults (men and women) to find what features women prefer in their consumer electronics devices. The survey along with a review by a panel of female journalists determined the showcase participants.
The FP93V features a simple, refreshing, all-white polished exterior that is elegant in design. The unit comes with an ultra-fast 8ms response time and a high 550:1 contrast ratio, and is the ideal complement to any office and home decor.
