One card per Roamio or Bolt (up to 6 tuners), not for the Minis. Roamio/Bolt and Minis are like Genie and Minis or Hopper and Joeys. The main DVR does everything. Mini or Joey is just a remote client.

Cable tv is simple. Saving money isn't.
