Wow! I never actually watched any of the these shows. Personally, I can't see how the author ignored "Real" Thanksgiving episodes such as The Walton's. As far as comedy, no Thanksgiving is complete without a dose of Archie Bunker (All in the Family) for the holidays. Apparently someone forgot to tell the author that television has been around longer than the past ten years.

It's been 30 years since that episode first aired and it is still by far the funniest, most memorable thanksgiving episode ever. The actual turkey drop is just the climax of the episode. The whole thing was side splitting funny with the final line: As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!
