Better signal on our boat

We have a couple of analog TVs on our boat. We cruise the Southern California coast and Catalina I. Our masthead antenna feeds a DigitalStream digital to analog converter, but we often get only a couple of stations. Would attaching a Radio Shack signal booster help us out? Chuck
 
Not likely to benefit as you are using an omnidirectional antenna with minimal gain. Unless the coax cable is deteriorated, a short 40-50' run would not usually benefit from an amplifier. If you want to try an amp, use an inline type with the booster at the antenna and the power supply down below.
