There will be no joy in Dishland on 8/30.......however, at some point Dish Network will have to add BTN to their AT100 to stay competitive with DirecTV.

BTN is a niche channel that Dish refuses to get locked into with very Limited appeal to 90 plus percent of Multi channel subscribers for 1 buck per month for almost all Dish subscribers (all but Dish family subs).

Dish doesn't need to add BTN to avoid mass defections. I just saw a Poll on BTN on this Forum or Dbstalk and the vast majority of those in the poll don't want or need BTN and those polled do NOT want to pay another buck per month BTN.

Dish may lose a few subs to the lack of BTN, but I'd bet they lose fewer subs than the additional cost of adding BTN subtracted from the bottomline.
