This is going to revolutionize the communications industry. They say we will have 400% further distance in signals, 50% more power, 50% bandwidth gain, lower cost, better noise tolerance and faster speed. It is called WAM (WAve Modulation) replacing QAM. This would affect satellite, cable, cellular, fiber, wireless internet providers, all communications using bandwidth over the air or wire.
 
We'll see. Heard too many "next big thing" stories.

So maybe there's a Hopper WAM down the road. Would new satellites be required or will the bent pipe continue as is?
