Up until my recent bill I was being charged as follows:

DISH HD - $20
DISH Network DVR Service Fee - $5.98
Addl Receiver Access Fee - 5.00

I had a 622, 721, and a 508 and assumed that the $5.98 was for the 622 and the $5.00 was for the 721 with teh 508 being the original receiver on the account.

I just ugraded the 508 to a 722, so I now have a 622, 722, and 721.

My new bill shows:

DISH HD - $20
DISH Network DVR Service Fee - $11.96
Leased Receiver Fee - $6.00

I expected that I would be paying the $11.96 for the 622 and 722, but was suprised to see the Leased Receiver Fee in place of the Addl Receiver Access Fee.

Did they make a mistake? I own the 721.

Can anybody confirm the mistake or help me understand the billing?

I tried a CSR but she was not very helpful.

Thanks

I don't believe they made a mistake. The $6.00 Lease fee would be the correct amount for the 722. If you did the Dish 'n it up deal, you probably are now leasing the 722 (unless you paid like $500 to purchase it outright). Are you also leasing the 622?

You currently have 5 tuners (2 for the 622, 2 for the 722, and one for the 721 - I think), so I could see it possibly needing the Additional Receiver Fee, but I am not sure.

Do you have any of them connected to a phone line?

That will help reduce some of the charges, at least the first HD DVR unit.

All 3 recievers are connected to a phone line.

The 622 and 722 are both HD DVR receivers with dual tuners and are both leased.

The 721 is a non-HD DVR receiver with dual tuners.

Hmmm - is there another plan that more than one HD Receiver is included? Do you know where on the DISH website I would see that detail?

it looks to me like there's another additional receiver fee missing.

you should be paying a DVR fee on everything but the 721, and an additional receiver fee or lease fee on everything but the "primary".

I agree, I noticed that as well. I wouldn't complain too much, I think he got lucky.
