Birdog troubles

I'm having problems with my Birdog, It turns in and I can scroll through all the functions just fine but when I try to peak the dish it just beeps at 0 like there is no lead connected. Any thoughts would help.

I'm having problems with my Birdog, It turns in and I can scroll through all the functions just fine but when I try to peak the dish it just beeps at 0 like there is no lead connected. Any thoughts would help.

I use one as well and a few ideas come to mind. Make sure that the lead you are using from the LNB to the meter has great connections (switch to another lead). Also, if you leave the plastic protective cover on the meter try taking it off. I've had instances where the lead into the meter wasn't making good enough contact with the plastic protector in place.

If you still have problems, hook the meter to a known good dish to see if the meter is broken.
