Blocking Annoying Members

I can block people on the website but they still show up on the (android) Mobil app. Is there a fix for this? or just user error on my part..

I've only been tempted to block one or two users. I'd rather have the option that's on Fark, where you can "favorite" people with a special background color and note like "word salad" or "paranoid about the Commies".
