Boise State denies high school a blue football field

http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsport...ate-denies-high-school-a-blue-football-field/

My opinion, this has to be the dumbest trademark granted. Installing any non green playing turf requires permission from Boise.

Considering Boise should be in Div II, I can now see why they denied Brevard High School from getting blue turf. Div II Brevard College plays on the high school field too. They would hate for anyone to be confused

Hey. The Blue/Smurf Turf is ours. :D It is said and done. I don't care what you all think. It is ours.

And Boise in DII? In your dreams bro.... :)

Don't have to dream about it, everybody knows they play a DII schedule nearly every week.

As for the turf you can keep it, but having a say about what colors other teams, whether elementary, highschool, college or pro use is ridiculous.

Dang!! So you mean to tell me TN or OSU can't have an orange field?Or that UNC,can't have a carolina blue field? How will these teams manage going forward?:D

I can see them having a trademark on thier shade of blue (ie smaurfturf), but any other color should be fine.

If a school challenged them on any non-blue/non-green color, they'd likely win and invalidate the trademark pertaining to any non-boise st. blue color.

Theres already another school using a red field, who it is escapes me, but it's there.

Its Eastern Washington and the article states Boise gave them permission to use the red along with some colleges that have gone to blue lacrosse fields since its popularity in the London Olympics

Actually Boise State's Blue field should be BANNED ...

It's god UGLY and a strain for EVERYONE that happens to have to see it.

When they come on, my TV says "Really ?"
