Boost Mobile

Boost isn't selling phones, it's selling the service
Odd comment. Of course they sell phones as well as service, although byod is probably a lion's share of their business.
I never even read the paperwork on becoming a Boost dealer when Dish bought them, simply not interested.

Almost none of the work orders are bringing a new phone. I'm sure the idea is get them signed, then market new phones a year into the service.

IDK-I'm billed monthly so looking at plans that are cheapest I see 25 bucks/month. Unlimited data true but we don't come close to using 30 Gigs. Not an expert but i believe boost can also be on more than ATT.
The only way to be able to switch networks based on availability on Boost is to have a Rainbow SIM, if you have any other SIM you get one network. Who knows if they even still issue Rainbow SIMs. If you have an eSIM it's AT&T. The Dish native 5G native network largely no longer exists since Charlie screwed over vendors and stopped paying utilities and tower lease fees. What little Dish 5G is left, if any, will be gone.

- Signed the resident Dish hater😜

Interesting. I had heard snippets about sims that could work on various carriers but never knew exactly what they meant.

As long as they're paid off, just contact them to get the port pin you'll need and make sure they are SIM-unlocked
I got a notification from TMO on my Pixel 9 that the phone is now unlocked and I could use any carrier. My wife has not received a notification on her Galaxy phone.
My contract is now paid off. Being I was a tested when the Dish tower antenna's where put up I know where a lot of them are at. I may look into Boost now using my current phones. I would have to really look at the Boost costs being I get several streaming freebies with TMO.

Boost network was decommissioned last year. They currently use AT&T towers.
I have boost, after switching from Consumer Cellular. Same service, but less than 50% of the price. If you are a dish subscriber, you can get unlimited talk, text and data for $15 per month. If not on dish, it's $25, still a very good deal.

So they don't use the Dish towers? How would I go about getting this deal?

When I signed up they told me I would get the $15 dollar price even if I left Dish. Sounded like BS to me but two other support levels of Boost told me it was true .I'm still have many months to go on my contract with Dish so no way of finding out at present.

When comparing DISH/Boost with others, always look at the final price as for me, DISH Boost at $15.00 after taxes and fees would be closer to $22.00 a month. U.S. Mobile would be as low as $17.00 a month because all the taxes and fees are already included so the $15.00 will actually cost more than the $17.00. Just assume it's always going to have taxes and fees unless it specifically says that's the price with the taxes and fees already included.

Perhaps this depends on where you live, but I pay $15.15 cents per phone.
So... there's another 0.15 per phone. I don't get paper bills, but perhaps a FCC fee of some sort? Either way, no major fees or taxes here in TX.

That's true. You're using BOOST for your phone, not Dish

$15 includes everything, I believe.

It does. I got mail from Dish concerning Boost Mobile yesterday. It comes with 30GB of 5G/4G LTE data also. There are $40/40GB and a $50/50GB plans also. The $40 and $50 plans come with a hotspot. The phone number shown for this is 833-610-3028. My concern is what happens if Boost Mobile goes belly up.

That's why I said to look at the total after taxes and ofcourse it depends on location. I remember when Xfinity Mobile first launched, there was a thread on Howard Forums or dslreports where people were all getting phones that had $0.00 monthly costs but the taxes and fees can vary a lot.

I think DISH/Boost should have a terms and conditions for the $15 Boost plan instead of just pointing to the standard $25 plan unless it's the same terms and conditions except the $15 plan is just $10 discount for having a active DISH subscription and autopay.
