Both Hoppers with Sling need network connection for DishAnywhere to work?

Just upgraded both of my Hoppers to Hoppers with Sling.

I was told previously that Ethernet should only be connected to ONE Hopper. I replicated that set up for the new model.

However, the receiver without the Ethernet connection doesn't seem to be connecting to DishAnywhere.

So to experiment, I connected Ethernet cable to that receiver, it instantly got recognized.

So with Hopper with Sling, I *do* need network on both receivers?

Correct. Bridging is the easier way to go though. In the Network Setup screen make sure you have MoCA selected and then press the blue button on the remote twice. Just enable this on the receiver that is connected.
Got a question MattG, why is that not the default setting since the Joeys have apps on them and they won't work unless bridging is enabled or ethernet is connected to them?
