Broadband audit important question

Sometimes I take my receiver to a bech house in Cabo, Mexico., I can receive almost every channel including hd. I just bought a 922 and I would like to know if my account is going to be canceld if I connect the broadband and maybe dish will know my ip is not coming from the states. Any help ?

yes they can and why not use it the other way, leave the 922 at the account home and use sling to view that is what it is designed for. But for starters you better leave it at home until they work out a few moe bugs anyway, why torture yourself!

Do they use the location information to identify people who have moved?

It seems Dish only gets upset if it is not to their advantage or a loss. For moving, there isn't a loss, so one has to wonder how much they care to hunt down "movers."

my first 722 found a neighbors box on dishcom when i first got it.

right after that the power company finished the upgrade, splitting our neighborhood into many different transformers.

the dishcom find disappeared after that.

my only point is that although dishcom isnt reliable it might happen.....

if your traveling with your box it might be a good idea to block dishcom somehow, or risk getting added to the nazi audit list.

My VIP 211k lost authorization after not being used for a while. I tried hooking up to broadband and connecting to dishcomm, few minutes after powering off, the receiver regained authorization (not all channels on my subscription but a good amount and also the RSNs). I tested this from my vacation home north of MX. Unable to get PPV tough, something about the show no longer being available. I would recommend trying it if no other receivers are in use at the same time.

And as usual, if everything's working, then don't fix it.

Dishcomm proved reliable, your power company did not.
