buying a hopper

ok so i just signed up for dish and i am very happy with them. now i am wondering since i am under a contract on the hopper and the 4k joey. will dish allow one to go out and buy a second hopper and a 4k joey and mirror them to the acct??? as it will be used for rving and it would be nice to be able to shut it off and turn it on when there not being used. i am also wondering how much a second hopper would be per month on my acct to pair it to the acct

Yes, you can go purchase your own equipment and activate and deactivate it whenever you want. The second Hopper is $15 and the additional Joeys are $7 each. So you'd be looking at a $22 increase and I think a Hopper goes for about $350 and a Joey is about $150. (Don't quote me on the purchase prices)

Or, you could set up your RV for Hopper and Joey and carry your existing equipment with you when you travel...
