I'm converting a C-Band BUD to FTA. I have an new pansat 2700A, new Chaparral Corotor II feedhorn with aspen C, and Ku Band LNB.

I'm using a old Echostar 710 to move the dish.

I can't get any C-band signals to show up on signal meter on the Pansat.

Here's what I tried:
Move the disk to G4R with the old 710, and channel 17 shows a test signal from Buena vista TV G4R ch 17. So I know I'm pointing to G4R.

Next move the cable the pansat, and under G4R C I have see nothing on the signal meter page.
Pansat settings:
LNB set standard selected, LNB freq = 5150, 22k off, DiseqC off, skeq -8.

My location is Lat 39 58.218 N, Log 105 28.878.

I set the skew base on results from Satellite Finder.

Thanks for any help.
Jim

jfee, I also have a 2700a. If you use the single SL lnb setting, the TP data is factory set, then u can use the setting page to check for signal. However, if you use standard 5150 setting, you will not find a signal. You'll have to do a "smart search" for TPs. Once TPs are logged, then you can recheck dish pointing. I did a "smart search" some time back and found the Nets on G4. Using the setting, standard 5150, CBS was found at 3949 V 2234 . Find TP edit feature on 2700a, enter new TP data, then check signal page.
