I am seriously thinking of switching from Dish to Direct. It depends on my site.
My question is can the cables installed for Dish work with Direct.I have HD setup in bedroom 1 and a HD setup in living room.Cable goes to bedroom 2 from bedroom 1,and to bedroom 3 from living room.In other words i have 2 dual tuners.I can forgo hookups in the bedroom 2 and 3.
The Dish installer cut the pre-existing cables to install theirs.I guess to make me think twice about going back to cable tv!

Cable TV was probably RG59 where satellite uses RG6. You can use the satellite cables for cable TV but vice versa probably would yield unsatisfactory results. I think the Direct boxes use 2 cables where dish uses one and then separates the signal right at the receiver, unless you can get the DirecTV single-wire device in there and I'm not sure it's available everywhere.
