Caller ID

I got DirecTV on Monday and everything seems to be set up and working fine. The caller ID feature on the DVR was working fine, but yesterday it stopped working all of a sudden. It is still connected to the phone jack and the caller ID is enabled, so I can't figure out what is wrong. Any ideas?

It's not a big deal if it doesn't work...but it is handy to know who is calling before I get up to get the phone.

I am not familiar with the DVR menu, but both of my HD receivers menus have a test for the phone connection. If you have it try and see if it tests OK.

Let me guess, you have an R-15 right? This is a known issue with this model. The latest software update was supposed to fix this problem, but it made my caller ID disappear permanently! Call D* and insist that you get a new R-15, and not some refurb old model.

Yep, get a new R-15, so that it can get the same upgrade, and have the same problem - and, the second time around, you'll be stuck with it. Heh.
