Can I buy a HD box for use with Charter?

I'm setting up an account with Charter and they don't have any HD boxes until the middle of Jan. Is there a box I can buy that will work. The tech I talked to didn't know.

Talk with the office and find out for sure. Different systems call for different boxes. Make sure they can activate one for you if you buy it. I don't think as rule of thumb companies just up and jump out to activate just any box. Some companies and systems have different interactive features in the boxes that may not work with their system. Some used ones have balances owed and not returned so beware of what you get.

they need to buy more boxes. when i went with charter after voom dided they said the same thing. if you want a dvr too hd works with that. thats what i did got it right away

We've had this problem before as well, its usally with the distributers not just charter... Cant speak on this instance But in our case their was just to much demand for them to keep up with.
